How to get your Private Pilot Licence

To get your UK PPL, you'll need to complete 45 hours of flight training which must include at least 25 hours with an instructor and 10 hours flying solo. You also have to do a solo cross country flight of at least 150nm, landing at two different aerodromes from where you started.

You'll have to pass nine multiple-choice exams, achieving a score of at least 75% in each. Exams must be completed within 6 sessions (each session covering a 10 day period). The exam topics are:
